Our work

Local roots, international reach

Copán Ruinas is a small town with a big responsibility: its communities, its heritage, and the people who visit. The club works for those communities.

  • Projects

    Across 38 communities of Copán

The club is the Honduran counterpart of the International Project Alliance (IPA), a coalition of Rotary clubs from the Pacific Northwest of the United States with a long-term commitment to the Copán Ruinas region.

Our work reaches 38 communities of Copán: education, health, food and agriculture, water and sanitation, construction, and economic development.

  • Network

District 4250 and a worldwide network

We belong to Rotary International's District 4250, which brings together clubs in Honduras, Guatemala, and Belize — and through that, a network present in nearly every country on earth.

That network is what makes it possible for a project dreamed up in Copán to be funded and carried out with partners on another continent.

  • Fellowship

    Neighbors who step up together

A Rotary club is, above all, a group of neighbors who decide together what to do for their community — and then roll up their sleeves to make it happen.

If you'd like to join us, there's room for you. Here's how to become a member.

Every project has a story

Each brigade, each water system, and each library has its own story — the people behind it, the partners who helped, and the results it brought.

Club numbers, stories, and results.
